The deceased sister, Florence Muyunda said that her brother arrived home on Monday night without any signs of illness but, when she called her on Tuesday morning he was not picking her calls. This prompted her to rush to his house where he had been living alone to find out what was going on with him.

Florence told the police that when she arrived at Muyunda's home which she found locked from the incident. After minutes of knocking without an answer, Florence said she sought the help of a few neighbours who helped her break into the house.

"It is then that we found his body on the floor of his bedroom," she said.

Following the incident, the police commander said that items found in Muyundo's house will be examined to aid the probe into his death.

At the time of his death, Muyundo was facing an attempted murder trial after he shot and wounded Phanice Chemutai on July 8, in Kiminini.

He told the police that he shot Chemutai after mistaking her with the late killer cop Caroline Kangogo.
