Jubilee reveals its choice for Elachi replacement

Benson Mutura, the former Makadara MP has been fronted by Jubilee Party as their candidate to replace Beatrice Elachi as the next Nairobi County Assembly Speaker.

This was revealed by Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju shortly after a consultative meeting with the party's Nairobi ward representatives.

Nairobi MCAs are set to elect a new Speaker on Friday, August 14 to replace Beatrice Elachi who resigned earlier this week.

During the meeting, several leadership changes were also proposed, including making Ibrahim Hassan the Nairobi County Assembly Majority Leader, Peter Wanyoike his deputy.

Paul Kado is set to becoe Chief Whip while Waithera Chege will be his deputy.

Mark Ndung'u has been proposed for the Nairobi County Assembly Service Board.
