Odinga is the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement and was in Dubai recently for surgery.

During his stay in Dubai, Odinga was visited by ODM Deputy Party Leader, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed.

It was the chartered plane on which Joho and Mohamed flew to Dubai aboard that led to Obare's posts after a brown handbag under the MP's seat sent the social media rumour mill into high gear.

Obare spent the weekend at the Gigiri Police Station but has now been granted Sh100,000 cash bail after denying the breach of privacy charges.
