A Kenya Defence Forces helicopter crashed on Monday morning at Kanyonga village, Kithyoko in Machakos County.
Two senior military officers, of the rank of major, died on the spot after army chopper crashed in a farm at about 11.30 am.
"Scene visited and it was established that a helicopter reg AU003-539 and belonging to Kenya Army crashed at around 1100hrs in a farm in the village and approximately 15kms North West of the station," said report filed at the Kithyoko Police Station by the local assistant chief, Daniel Muthoka.
